Fans of the great detective will be pleased to learn the U.S. Supreme Court, by declining to hear a case, has made Sherlock Holmes fair game for new interpretation. I love the original stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, but I also love some of the newer tales. Laurie King’s stories of Mary Russell are among my favorite.
