Sharon P. Lynn decided the day she got her library card that she wanted to be a writer. She is a Midwestern native who has worked in journalism and public relations and now works on her own projects, with an emphasis on creative writing.
She enjoys reading and occasionally reviewing fiction and non-fiction, as well as writing mysteries, poetry and plays. She also likes to take pictures, crochet, and travel.
She’s taught journalism, English composition and sociology at midwestern colleges and universities. She’s also volunteered with various groups over the years, especially to help with newsletters and desktop publishing.
She has won awards for her work in journalism, poetry and academic writing.
She is the 2024 MWA Midwest Region’s Hugh Holton Award winner, and was a 2023 finalist.
Her short story, “Blood on the White Rose,” is included in Gone Fishin’: Crime Takes a Holiday, the eighth Sisters in Crime Guppy chapter anthology. (Order it through local booksellers or on Amazon.)
