I met with my first writers’ group tonight. We had a great session and a couple of good presentations, some break-through ideas and a few good comments. No one asked about the ninjas, but we don’t have any ninjas in our work … at the moment.

If I had to guess, I’d say Gone Girl is probably one of the best known contemporary dual-narrative stories. I’ve been toying with using the technique in a novel I’m working on. Here’s a short post about using dual narrative in kids’ books that offers some reasons why the approach works.
